Common Name: CHESTNUT LEAVED OAK

Size	Height 20m. Spread 15m
Habit	Fast growing conical shaped tree.
Leaves	Long, dark glossy green above, dull grey underneath, regular triangular lobes each side. Leaves turn deep bronze then brown in autumn. Flowers appear with young leaves. Acorns grow in "mossy cups".
Planting	Well drained soil, full sun.
General	Bark starts black and smooth becoming dark grey and ridged. Fast growth rate makes bark prone to splits.
